Nous venons d’apprendre qu’à la demande du lobby israélien un nouveau procès nous est intenté le 19 mars prochain, pour avoir appelé la chanteuse Vanessa Paradis, il y a 7 ans, à ne pas aller donner un concert à Tel Aviv et à ne pas y rencontrer le président de l’Etat d’Israël Shimon Peres.

Les plaignants : « L’Union des communautés juives d’Ile de France », présidée par le colon franco-israélien Sammy Ghozlan, nous accusent de « provocation à la haine ou à la violence » et de « provocation à la discrimination nationale, raciale, religieuse », en se référant à une vidéo, publiée sur notre site en janvier 2011, qui nous montre en train d’expliquer, chants et danses à l’appui, qu’il serait immoral d’aller cautionner les colonies, l’occupation, les massacres et le blocus de Gaza, ainsi que la torture des enfants palestiniens.

Lors de cette soirée, nous avions distribué au public la lettre des opposants israéliens appelant Vanessa Paradis et Johnny Depp à ne pas se rendre en Israël et à ne pas « permettre à l’Etat d’Israël de se servir de votre réputation pour blanchir ses crimes ! » (texte intégral sur http://www.europalestine.com/spip.php?article5752)

Vanessa Paradis et Johnny Depp avaient choisi d’annuler leur concert. Tant mieux.
Des centaines d’artistes dans le monde, de Ken Loach à Roger Waters, en passant par MassiveAttack, Brian Eno ou Lorde, refusent de cautionner l’occupation et la colonisation israéliennes, et nous leur en savons gré.

Sont ils antisémites ? Non ! Pas plus que nous, ni les opposants israéliens, ni le peuple palestinien qui nous appelle à faire comme pour l’Afrique du Sud de l’Apartheid, et à boycotter Israël tant que durent l’occupation, la colonisation, et leur cortège d’atrocités.

Mais une fois de plus, le lobby israélien essaie de créer la confusion entre judaïsme et condamnation de l’apartheid israélien, et d’inverser les rôles en osant parler de « discrimination » à l’encontre d’un Etat qui boycotte en permanence tout un peuple, le privant de l’ensemble de ses droits les plus fondamentaux.

Netanyahou et ses supporters ne se contentent pas d’amplifier la colonisation, comme les violations des droits de l’homme et du droit international. Ils exigent que la France interdise le boycott d’Israël, interdisant par là même aux artistes, aux universitaires, aux sportifs, de refuser d’aller se produire dans ce pays !

On pourrait ainsi réclamer des sanctions contre la Chine, la Russie, la Syrie ou l’Iran, mais pas contre Israël, qui s’estime au-dessus des lois, comme vient de le proclamer sans complexe la ministre israélienne de la justice Ayelet Shaked (http://www.europalestine.com/spip.php?article13956).

C’est énorme ! Nous devons, par un soutien et une présence massive au procès d’Olivia Zémor, présidente de CAPJPO-EuroPalestine, montrer que la France n’est pas une colonie israélienne.

C’est pourquoi nous vous donnons rendez-vous le lundi 19 Mars, à partir de 12h30, au Tribunal de Versailles, 5 Place André Mignot, 78011 (le procès se déroulera à 14 H à la 8ème Chambre, Section 3).

Nous vous demandons de faire tout votre possible pour être présent(e)s ce jour là (dans 3 semaines précisément), afin que le gouvernement français, qui se proclame contre la colonisation et pour le respect du droit international, ne puisse faire ses coups bas en catimini.

Nous en appelons au soutien de tous les défenseurs du droit et de la justice, en France comme à l’étranger.

Dear friends,

We have just learnt that, at the Israeli lobby’s request, new criminal proceedings will be brought against us on 19 March, for having asked the French singer Vanessa Paradis, seven years ago, not to go and give a concert in Tel Aviv and not to meet at the same time, the president of the State of Israel, Shimon Peres.

The plaintiffs, “L’Union des communautés juives d’Ile de France”, (Union of Jewish communities in Paris Region) whose president is Sammy Ghozlan, a Franco-Israeli settler, accuse us of “incitement to hatred or violence” and “incitement to national, racial and religious discrimination”, referring to a video published on our website in January 2011, showing us explaining, with the use of songs and dances, that it would be immoral to go and condone settlement building, occupation, massacres and the Gaza blockade, as well as the torture of Palestinian children.

Hundreds of artists the world over, from Ken Loach to Roger Waters, and many others such as Massive Attack, Brian Eno or Lorde, refuse to condone the Israeli occupation and colonisation. We are very thankful to them.

Are they anti-Semites ? Of course not ! No more than we are, nor the Israeli opponents and the Palestinian people who appeal to us to act in the same way as it was done in Apartheid South Africa : to boycott Israel as long as it continues its occupation, colonisation with their its many atrocities.

Yet, once more, the Israeli lobby is trying to create confusion between Judaism and the condemnation of Israeli apartheid and turn the tables, daring to talk of “discrimination” against a State which permanently boycotts a whole people, denying them their most fundamental rights.

Netanyahu and his backers, not content with extending colonisation as well as the violation of human rights and international law, demand that France should forbid the boycott of Israel, thus forbidding artists, academics, athletes to refuse to perform in that country !

We could thus demand sanctions against China, Russia, Syria or Iran, but not against Israel which considers itself above any law, as the Israeli Justice minister, Ayelet Shaked unashamedly proclaimed last week.(http://www.europalestine.com/spip.php?article13956).

It is outrageous ! We must show that France is not an Israeli colony : It is our duty to express our support and be present en masse at the trial of Olivia Zémor, the president of CAPJPO-EuroPalestine.

That is why we ask you to be present at the Court of Versailles, 5 Place André Mignot, 78011, on Monday, 19 March, from 12.30 on. The trial will take place at 2 PM, before the 8th Chamber, Section 3.

We ask you to do your utmost to be there on that day, to prevent the French government which claims to be against colonisation and respect international law, from playing dirty through the back door.

We call for support from all the defenders of rights and justice, in and outside France

لهذا نطلب منكم اللقاء يوم الإثنين 19 مارس علي الساعة 12 و النصف أمام محكمة فرساي 5 ساحة André-Mignot بباريز 11 الغرفة 8 وننادي بتضامن كل مدافعي الحقوق و الحريات بفرنسا وخارجها, وبمناسبة 8 مارس نطلب منكم التظاهر و المطالبة بإطلاق كل الأسيرات الفلسطينيات وسننظم في نفس اليوم علي الساعة الخامسة و النصف مساء مظاهرة من ساحة الجمهورية إلى ساحة الأوبرا بباريز, سترافقنا خلال هذه المظاهرة صور كل الأسيرات بما فيهن عهد التميمي وصور أصغر أسيرة لا يتعدى عمرها 13 سنة .
